Historical Work

Along with writing clean small-town romance, Jess is a local historian, researcher and writer. She has lent her vast skills towards several local projects over the years.

Local Historian, Researcher, Author

Jess authored Images of America: Smyrna, Clayton, and Woodland Beach after years of personal research.

Jess lent her talents to the Town of Smyrna to help celebrate their 250th Anniversary by writing the town’s history for their commemorative book.

Some of her coastal town research was used to create signs at the Aquatic Resources Education Center along their walking trail.

Other bits of local research showed up in two of 302 Stories’ wonderful documentaries: Duck Creek to Delaware Bay and Growing Up Segregated in Delaware
